Liberal Hypocrisy

Harry Reid made some comments during the presidential race about Obama's skin color. Now many Republicans are calling for him to step down.
However, there are many Democrats that are forgiving him.
The Congressional Black Caucus' spokeswoman has said this about Reid:

“I have had an opportunity to speak with Senator Reid and he apologized for his unfortunate remarks concerning the President and he understands the gravity of such remarks. There are too many issues like the economy, job creation and energy for these regrettable comments to distract us from the work that must be done on behalf of the American people.
“Over the years, I have had an opportunity to work with Majority Leader Reid. Senator Reid’s record provides a stark contrast to actions of Republicans to block legislation that would benefit poor and minority communities – most recently reflected in Republican opposition to the Health Bill now under consideration. I look forward to Senator Reid continuing to serve as Majority Leader to guide this important agenda through the Senate.
“The Congressional Black Caucus believes that thoughtful engagement and civil discourse on race is needed, as our first “Dialogue on Race” in November 2009 demonstrated. There is a deep unease about race which cannot be swept under the rug. I appreciate Senator Reid’s apology and look forward to our continuing work.
If this were a Republican who had made the same statement, the CBC would be frothing at the mouth.
Obama has also forgiven Reid. I'm not saying they shouldn't forgive, I'm saying that equal treatment needs to be given.
Trent Lott, a Republican, was forced out of his post for things that he said and did that were considered to be racist. Yet Robert Byrd  , a Democrat, still holds office and now we have Reid.

The Left has been one-sided for a while.

Larry Craig, Jack Ryan, Mark Foley, George Allen and Tom Delay were all forved out of office for sex scandals in which no one had sex.

Ted Kennedy killed a girl. There was Clinton and Lewinsky, Sandy Berger who stole classified 9/11 documents and Barney Frank who ran a prostitution ring out of his apartment. Oh yeah, and John Edwards who had an affair and then used campaign money to pay for her living expenses.
None were forced to leave office.

The hypocrisy is staggering.

Here is Ann Coulter letting Rev. Al Sharpton have it:
